Difference between S1 and D4

There are still many who do not understand what the difference between an undergraduate program (S1) and an Applied Bachelor or Diploma Four (D4), both taken for four years and obtaining a bachelor’s degree, but there are differences in ability when taking majors or study programs with undergraduate and undergraduate programs applied.

An applied bachelor is a diploma level equivalent to an undergraduate level (S1). Another name for this level is diploma four (D4). These two programs are said to be equal because they have the same scientific weight as the undergraduate level. The difference between scholars and applied scholars is only in the comparison of their scientific weight. At the undergraduate level, the weight of scientific theory is around 70%, while the weight for practice is 30%. On the other hand, at the applied undergraduate level, the scientific weight is around 30% and the practical weight is around 70%.

The applied undergraduate program has a focus on producing skilled and superior graduates, which are very much needed by the industrial world and the world of work. If you want to focus on finding a job with specific competencies and skills, it is advisable to choose an applied bachelor’s program. Because, you will have the practical skills needed in the world of work as well as more complete knowledge than the diploma level under an applied bachelor’s degree.
