Happy Earth Day 2021

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated around the world on April 22 to show support for environmental protection. Earth Day is designed to increase awareness and appreciation of the planet that humans live on, namely Earth. Named by United States Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970 an environmental teacher

This date coincides with spring in the Northern Hemisphere (Northern Hemisphere) and autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. The UN itself celebrates Earth Day on March 20, a tradition proclaimed by peace activist John McConnell in 1969, is a day on which the sun is directly above the equator which is often called the March Equinox.

The meaning of Earth Day is still important because it reminds people to think about human values, the threats facing the planet and ways to help protect the environment.

This was disclosed by a professor of psychology and environmental studies at The College of Wooster in Ohio, Susan Clayton. “Thinking about the history of environmental activism and the way individuals work together to change policy can make us more optimistic about our ability to make positive change in the future,” said Clayton.

On Earth Day 2016, the landmark Paris Agreement was signed by the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and 120 other countries. This signing satisfied a key requirement for the entry into force of the historic draft climate protection treaty adopted by consensus of the 195 nations present at the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris.
