On that day, Muslims gather in the morning and perform Ied prayers together in the open or in the mosque. After the prayer, the slaughter of the sacrificial animals is performed. The sacrificial animals slaughtered were usually goats, sheep, cows, or buffaloes. Then the pieces of sacrificial meat are distributed to the community around the person who sacrificed. One -third of the meat of the animals was consumed by the sacrificial family, while the rest was donated or distributed to others. Sometimes this Islamic holiday is also referred to as the feast of sacrifice.
