Informatics Management 2018 Moves Against COVID-19

On Sunday (19/04/2020) D3 Informatics Management students at Indonusa Polytechnic of Surakarta along with lecturers carried out social services in the form of distributing groceries, masks and hand sanitizers to pedicab drivers along Slamet Riyadi Street.
This activity was carried out by D3 Informatics Management students class of 2018 and began with a prayer together led by Mrs. Norma Puspitasari, M.Pd as the supervisor. She said, “we carry out this activity because we care for those who are affected economically due to the Covid-19 pandemic. One of those affected is the pedicab drivers who just wait for passengers or tourists traveling in Solo and use their services. At times like this, they find it increasingly difficult to make a living because there are no more tourists traveling in Solo. “

With the distribution of basic foodstuffs, the pedicab drivers find it very helpful because it is difficult to make money during the Covid-19 pandemic. They were grateful because apart from getting basic necessities, they also got a hand sanitizer and cloth mask that they could use to keep them clean when they were outside and not necessarily find soap and running water to wash their hands.
