International Civil Aviation Day

International Civil Aviation Day is commemorated every 7 December. This International Civil Aviation Day was established in 1994 and is part of the activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). From this year to 2023, the Council has decided that the theme is: “Advancing Innovation for Global Aviation Development”.

The purpose of International Civil Aviation Day is to help raise and strengthen world awareness of the importance of international civil aviation to the country’s social and economic development, and of the unique role of ICAO in helping countries to work together and realize truly global fast transit.
