Learning Office Applications to Karang Taruna of Tepisari Village

SUKOHARJO – At this time, it has entered the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution where technological developments are increasingly sophisticated. People, especially the younger generation, are required to be able to develop themselves in mastering technology so that they can keep up with the times. So as a form of Polytechnic Indonusa Surakarta’s concern for the younger generation, community service is held. The title of this service is “The Application of Office Application Learning to the Tepisari Village Youth Organization”. Held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Dk. Pondok Rejo RT02 / 05, Tepisari, Polokarto, Sukoharjo, this lesson was attended by 7 representatives of the youth of Tepisari village

This community service activity was chaired by Edy Susena, S.Kom, M.Kom. He is a lecturer in the Office Applications subject for the D3 Information Systems study program. In addition, Norma Puspitasari, M.Pd. as an Indonusa Polytechnic lecturer also took part in this activity. This service did not escape the participation of students, namely: Desi Rahmawati, Dwi Rahayu, Afrilia Primadani, Erick Alya Wahyu Ramadhan, Markus Susanto.

The material presented in this community service was divided into 2 sessions. The first session, namely the community will be presented with material that is theoretical in understanding the basics of Microsoft. For example, understanding about any tools in Microsoft Word and also the use of these tools. The community was facilitated by a laptop by the group team. The delivery of the material is also supported by a projector so that the community will be easier and clearer in receiving the appearance of each material.

The next material is practicum making a good job application letter and also making a CV with an attractive appearance. Because in current conditions, many companies use technology to accept job applications. Usually they receive applications in the form of softfiles sent via email. Communication media on smartphones is also another option for accepting recruitment. So that the material presented in this lesson becomes very important and useful for the community.

where the community knows better and can implement how to make a job application through Microsoft Word properly and with order good typing methods such as formatting and also making an attractive CV with a little Design in the document and the Society at the service event will be more useful if the material is presented with practicum.

After delivering the material, we from the students also introduced the Polytechnic Indonusa Surakarta campus to the public.
