Polytechnic Indonusa of Surakarta Holds Community Service Road Show
SOLO-On Thursday, January 9, 2020, at the end of the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year, students of the Polytechnic Indonusa Surakarta, D3 study program in Jetis Wetas Village, Pedan, Klaten. Information Management is deployed to the community to implement the knowledge gained on campus. “All service activities carried out by the Indonusa Surakarta Polytechnic students are aimed at implementing the knowledge gained on campus, forging friendship with the community and for evaluating the education on campus, so that after graduating, students are expected to be truly ready to enter the community,” said Edy. The target community is the Educational Teaching Aids (APE) business. Almost all residents in Jetis Wetan village produce APE. On this occasion, the material presented was E-Commerce. On the same day, other students also carried out their service at the Tegalan hamlet, Planggu, Trucuk, Klaten. In this activity the target community is the Plagu village youth organization. The material presented by the students was Introduction and Microsoft Office Training for Youth in Plagu Village, Trucuk, Klaten.
Then on Friday, January 10, 2020, students were sent to the slopes of Mount Merapi to be precise in the Sudimoro, Sangub, Musuk, Boyolali areas. This area is far from the city of Boyolali district, so it needs a touch from students. In this village, students provide community service by providing Microsoft Office Application Training materials to members of the Dukuh Sudimoro Youth Organization, Sangub Village, Musuk District, Boyolali Regency. On the same occasion, the supervising lecturers, namely: Edy Susena, Edy Susanto and Anista Yulia Ratnawati saw an opportunity to carry out further service with the community at Sudimoro hamlet. Because there are many people in the Sudimoro area whose job is to care for dairy cows, in the future there will be a plan for community service in processing milk into a superior product in Sudimoro to improve the welfare of the community.
On Saturday, January 11, 2020, Polytechnic Indonusa Surakarta students with their accompanying lecturers returned to service at Delegan Village Rt 04/07 Pabelan Kartasura Sukoharjo. On this occasion the students provided training to their youth organizations. This time, the material presented was to equip youth youth with training in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point Computer Applications. On the same day another group of students also held community service at Banyuanyar RT 03/12, Solo. The target community is Youth Youth Organization. The material presented was the Utilization of Smartphones for Business Activities for Youth of the Banyuanyar Youth Organization, Surakarta.
