Webinar “Remaja Tangguh Siap Kerja” by Indonusa Polytechnic and Surakarta BKK Forum
SOLO – Every university has a unit whose job is to act as an intermediary between students or alumni and the industry. Likewise with Vocational High Schools, which have a Special Job Exchange (BKK). The task of BKK is to mediate students with the industrial world, so that after they graduate, they will get jobs according to the skills they got during school. The webinar “Remaja Tangguh Siap Kerja” which was held virtually via zoom and streaming YouTube Official Politeknik Indonusa Surakarta on Wednesday (29/06/22), was a form of collaboration between the Indonusa Surakarta Polytechnic and the Surakarta City BKK Forum.
Although it was conducted virtually, the participants who attended the webinar came from various regions throughout Indonesia. This webinar is held for the public who want to gain insight into the world of work. Therefore, most of the participants came from high school and final semester students of college.
The first speaker, namely Drs. Sudarmaji, MM, gave an introduction about the Career Center at Indonusa Polytechnic of Surakarta. Followed by the second speaker, namely Mr. Nono Budiarto, S. Pd, who is the chairman of the Surakarta City BKK forum, representing the BKK to share and share about the world of work and his experiences in helping students find jobs.
The third speaker, a representative from the Public Relations of the Indonusa Polytechnic of Surakarta, namely Mr. Ersyafaat Huda, S.Kom, M.MPar, provided insight into what if students continued their studies after graduating, and what if students went straight to work after graduating from school. This is a motivation for students to be able to choose their future more maturely
The fourth speaker, Herwinda Ruthy Yurestia, is the HRD of the famous Alila Hotel in Surakarta City. She provides many tips and tricks to prepare for a job application until he is accepted for a job. The last speaker was Mr. Ardhy from PT Teleperformance who provided information on job vacancies at the company.
At the end of the event, the committee also gave prizes to the participants who asked the resource persons regarding the material presented. It is hoped that this webinar can provide insight to prospective job applicants so that they are more ready to work and enter directly in the industry
