Indonusa Polytechnic Hospitality Student Won 1st Place Towel Art

Fauna Towel Art “Peacock” Won 1st Place

Surakarta – Indonusa Surakarta Polytechnic students once again won the Towel Art Competition with the theme “Fauna” organized by Pelita Harapan University. The competition will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 online. The outstanding student is Yulia Tri Pratiwi, D3 Hospitality Study Program class of 2020, and has managed to get a cash prize of IDR 500,000.

In this competition, Yulia Tri Pratiwi packaged a video of her competition in a duration of 1 minute by making Fauna Towel Art with the title “Peacock”. The peacock is a symbol of beauty and majesty, but unfortunately now the peacock population continues to decline. Through this video competition, Yulia Tri Pratiwi invites us together to protect and preserve endangered animals, especially the peacock population.

The mechanism in the competition is that participants make a creative video of ±1 minute of the process of making animal towel art, then upload it to Tiktok and Instagram with an interesting caption and a predetermined hashtag. In addition, the criteria for evaluating the video competition product are as follows:

  1. video quality (30%)
    Video quality, creativity in making videos and captions used by each participant
  2. Towel art creativity and theme suitability (30%)
    Participants created unique and interesting towel art. The neatness and beauty of the display of towel art and video creativity are also aspects of the assessment. The suitability of the creations raised by each participant with the general theme of the competition, namely “Fauna”.
  3. The process of making ​​towel art (20%)
    It is expected that participants in displaying the process of making towel art, each participant can be seen and heard clearly.
  4. Participant appearance (10%)
    Dress standard:
    – Shirt: Polo shirt (collared).
    – Pants: Black pants.
    – Belt: Using a black and plain belt.
    – Hair: Hair is neatly styled.
    – Shoes: Use rubber shoes.
    – Jewelry: No jewelry is allowed.
  5. Presentation / Submission of Information (10%)
    Participants present or convey information about the towel art that has been carried clearly and in accordance with the theme of the competition.

Hopefully, with this achievement, it can improve the quality of the hospitality study program, as well as become a motivation for other students to achieve achievements as well.
