Surakarta – The D3 Hospitality Study Program at Indonusa Polytechnic Surakarta is accredited A. Opens the regular class (morning), evening class and employee class. Employee classes are opened for prospective students who have worked for at least 2 years in a work place relevant to the hospitality study program. Such as hotels, resorts, tourism, culinary, and others. The travel period for the employee class is 2 years (4 semesters).
The hospitality study program is equipped with various lab rooms that support learning. For example, hot kitchen lab, restaurant & bar lab, pastry & bakery lab, front office lab, housekeeping & pantry lab, and hotel room lab. The main competencies of the hospitality study program are Food & Beverage Service, Food Production / Pastry Bakery, Front Office, and Housekeeping. Additional competencies in Hotel Information Systems, Accounting, Sales & Marketing, and Human Resources.
Job prospects for hospitality graduates include becoming superior and independent supervisors in hotels in the fields of food & beverage service and food products. Become a supervisor in administration and managerial fields in marketing, public relations, accounting, front office, and human resources. Has the ability to carry out operational management in the fields of hotels and non-hotel catering services, laundry & dry cleaning as well as MICE.
The hospitality study program has won various championships in several competitions, such as 1st place in the Fruit Carving Competition in Central Java, 1st place in the Tray Race between universities throughout Indonesia, 2nd place in Tray On The Road between PT in Indonesia, 1st place in Making Bed between PT. Indonesia, and various other competitions.
