Webinar Career “Successful Steps to Build a Career” New Students by the Career Center & Tracer Study Unit of Polytechnic Indonusa Surakarta
Surakarta – Thursday (12/08/2021) pre-lecture activities for the new student webinar career of Polytechnic Indonusa Surakarta, namely the introduction of the Career Center and Tracer Study Units which were carried out online through zoom meetings and YouTube live streaming at 09.00 WIB to 11.00 WIB.
The Career Center unit is the center of the education and training system that is intended for prospective alumni or students who will graduate or alumni who have graduated. A unit that accommodates as well as bridges prospective alumni to find work, either by providing job vacancy information or sending alumni to work in a company.
Tracer Study is a study of tracing the traces of graduates/alumni conducted by universities to alumni from 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year, to several years after the alumni graduate to maintain communication and friendship between alumni and universities.
The existence of a Career Center and Tracer Study Unit is certainly very beneficial for prospective alumni and alumni who have graduated, including alumni can participate in recruitment with industrial partners who collaborate with campuses, alumni can monitor campus information and development online anywhere and anytime, alumni can participate in activities to improve the quality of higher education by providing feedback that is conveyed through the system, alumni who have worked can provide information about job vacancies to other alumni, and alumni can expand their network by getting to know each other with recorded alumni spread across various companies.
In the pre-college activity there were several alumni who joined and participated in providing motivation and telling their experiences from the beginning of entering college to graduating and getting the job they dreamed of. Alumni consisting of all study programs certainly make new students enthusiastic.
It is hoped that this pre-college activity can foster their enthusiasm for learning while studying at Polytechnic Indonusa Surakarta, enthusiasm for achievement, until finally graduating and getting the job they dreamed of from the beginning of college.
