Today according to Presidential Decree (Presidential Decree) No. 153/Year 1967. The decision was made right after the G30S/PKI incident. It is known that in this incident, six generals and several others were massacred by a group of people who, according to the military authorities at that time, were affiliated with the Indonesian Communist Party. The turmoil that arose as a result of the G30S/PKI itself was finally quelled by the Indonesian National Army, so it was called Pancasila Sanctity Day.

Six high-ranking officers and one mid-level TNI Army officer were victims of the September 30th Movement. They are:
– Posthumous Lieutenant General Ahmad Yani
– Major General Raden Soeprapto
– Major General Mas Tirtodarmo Haryono
– Major General Siswondo Parman
– Brigadier General Donald Isaac Panjaitan
– Brigadier General Sutoyo Siswodiharjo
– First Lieutenant Pierre Andreas Tendean

Pancasila Sanctity Day has the meaning as a day of national mourning because of the tragedy of the kidnapping and murder. Not only that, after the tragedy, there was a purge of all elements of the government from the influence of the PKI, from members of the organization to sympathizers.

Pancasila is powerful and has proven to be a unifying nation, becoming a meeting point (kalimatun sawa) for the diversity of cultures and religions and ethnic groups of Indonesia. The soul of God Almighty is the main pillar of this country to stand strong and progress. The human side does not belong to anyone but the highest value in responding to a human civilization.
