International Essay Writing Competition and Webinars by
Polytechnic Indonusa Surakarta

Surakarta – Friday to Tuesday, 28 May – 1 June 2021, an International Essay Writing Competition and Webinar with the theme “The Role of Students in Facing Work and Innovation During The Pandemic Peroid” held by the Information System Association (HIMASI) Indonusa Surakarta Polytechnic. This activity aims to provide a forum for students and the general public to create works that are innovative, creative, and useful in improving their ability to face global competition. This activity was attended by 11 National and International Universities including Polytechnic Indonusa Surakarta, Duta Bangsa University, Sahid University, Padjadjaran University, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, Mandala Bhakti Tourism Academy Surakarta, Brawijaya University, AAS Indonesia Institute of Business Technology, STMIK Sinar Nusantara of Surakarta, University Oriental of Timor Lorosae (UNITAL), and the University of Dili Institute Of Technology (DIT). This series of international essay writing competition was also held by an International Webinar for 4 days with 3 areas discussed, namely Technology, Social and Culture and Health with competent speakers in their fields.

This international essay competition was opened by holding the first webinar with the category “Techology” on Friday, May 28, 2021 online. The activity started with remarks from Mrs. Ir. Suci Purwandari, MM as the Director of Polytechnic Indonusa Surakarta, then remarks from the chief executive of Mrs. Norma Puspitasari, S.Pd, M.Pd. Entering the core of the activity, is a material from resource persons Mr. Wachid Yahya, M.Pd by presenting the material “Innovation of Autmotive Technology to Anticipate the Spread of Covid-19”, and Mr. Canggih Ajika Pamungkas, M.Kom by presenting the material “Artifical Intelligence” . At the end of the event, a question and answer session from participants for resource persons was conducted to review the material that had been presented by the speakers.

The second webinar was held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 with the category “Social and Cultural” with competent speakers from related fields, namely Mr. Yohanes Martono Widagdo, S.ST, M.MPar by presenting the material “Development in Sustainability Tourism Villages” and Mr. Markus Utomo Sukendar, MIKom by presenting the material “Against Infordemic Hoax in Social Media”. At the end of the event, there was also a question and answer session from the participants for the speakers which was read by the webinar mc.

The third webinar was held on Monday, June 31, 2021 in the “Health” category with competent speakers from their fields, namely Mrs. Apt. Annisa Diyan Meitasari, M.Farm by presenting the material “Immunity and Immunodulator” and continued by Mr. Wahyu Wijaya Widiyanto, M.Kom by presenting the material “Community Based Health Services “Health Workers, Communities, Academics”. Also hold a question and answer session from participants for resource persons such as previous webinars.
